Feng shui is an age-old discipline that focuses on creating harmony and balance within ones environment thus balancing our own personal chi or energy as a result. So what does feng shui have to do with real estate? Everything, to say the least. Home is the great stabilizing element within our lives. Therefore, how we decorate our space directly impacts how our lives unfold. In turn, when we look to move on to another destination it will directly influence the selling potential. What do we mean by this? How fast will it sell and how much profit is in it for you.
Selling homes today is more than just marketing. It is listening, being aware, and understanding the energy of a home for a quick and easy sale. As feng shui consultants this is exactly what we do in order to move real estate very quickly and save you from the big realtor commission fee. There are basically three simple feng shui steps to get the job done quickly and successfully.
First, make sure you and all occupants are ready to move on. When we move into a house we immediately paint our energy to form it into our home. Change is very difficult for people therefore; being emotionally and physically tied to the home will make it much harder to sell. By disrupting this pattern, a sale will take place quickly and easily.
Secondly, you need to pull up those energetic anchors that are tying you and your family to the home. Remember, it is no longer a home but transferable real estate. We can accomplish this by using the Bagua (the feng shui map) to find those grounding areas then release them by moving any heavy furniture or personal items.
Thirdly, the most important and complicated key is to change the homes emotional pattern. This is where once again we utilize the Bagua. We orient the Bagua map upon the formal front door of the home and then make the necessary adjustments. Remember, potential buyers have to visualize your home as their home. They want to know if your house will make a comfortable, beautiful home for them. By incorporating the principles of feng shui, you will do just that and in the process create a successful sale.
Lets shift gears and discuss what to look for when purchasing a new home. Although it is best to have a professional feng shui consultant do an evaluation, there are some things you can look for.
Feng Shui Tip #1: Notice the lighting. Not too dark, not too light. If the home is too dark it will deplete your energy. If it is too bright, youll be overly active and more susceptible to headaches. Try to avoid overly large windows in the Western sector of the home. The light in the West is deionized and will drain your energy.
Feng Shui Tip #2: Use your senses. Especially your sense of smell. A bad odor usually means something is wrong. Not to mention the fact bad smells attract bad energy.
Feng Shui Tip #3: Avoid purchasing a home with streets pointing directly at it. More specifically, avoid purchasing on a cul-de-sac, T-junction, round about or outer bend of a road. The Sha chi created by the cars energy will directly enter into the mouth of your home creating a milieu of issues; most commonly, the uneasy feeling from headlights shinning into your living room at night.
Feng Shui Tip #4: Observe the shape of the house and lot. A house and lot that is square or rectangular is best. Any other shape will negatively impact your life. As we say in the business, An odd shaped house leads to an odd life. Furthermore, the shape of the lot or house will give you problems selling it later.
Feng Shui Tip #5: Take note of the environment. Is the vegetation and animal life nonexistent? If so, this could indicate electromagnetic issues, something to avoid if you value your health. When it comes to land other problems could be lurking beneath such as underground water and geopathic stress lines. These geological factors are problematic to our health and can only be detected by an experienced feng shui consultant trained in dowsing.
Feng Shui Tip #6: Is there water close by? This is a wonderful element in feng shui; however, its proximity and flow make the difference between positive cash flow and negative cash flow. Mountains are also a plus. They take care of people. The key here is variety and balance.
Feng Shui Tip #7: Check the size of the front door and its position. You want a door that is situated to the front of the house verses the side, and in proportion to the house; not too big and not too small. We dont want good chi escaping nor do we want our opportunities foreshortened.
Feng Shui Tip #8: If your building your home use natural materials such as hard wood, marble, granite, etc. This will reduce your exposure to synthetic out-gassing linked to allergies, headaches, and joint pain just to name a few.
In the end, these feng shui tips will get you started on your next real estate venture. To close the deal, you need call in the feng shui specialist.
