Love and Feng Shui in the Bedroom

Category: House

Feng Shui in the bedroom is the area in your home representing your intimate relationships, partnerships, and love. It is also the main place in the home where you spend most of your time. A good sleep is necessary to recharge your batteries, so it is crucial that the bedroom be restful, intimate, and inviting.

- Make sure your bed faces the door but is not in line with it and that neither you nor your partners feet are pointing toward the door of the room. In China, this is called the death position and allows for the soul of the deceased to escape. You should have a view of the whole room when lying in your bed; this will lead to your gaining more insight into your relationship.

- Be sure there are no mirrors in the bedroom in which you can view yourself when you are in bed. If there are mirrors in the room, cover them with a drape during the night.

- Keep pictures of family, friends, children, pets, etc. in other parts of the house. Your bedroom should only have pictures of you and your mate. If you do not currently have a mate and are looking to attract one, place beautiful pictures of couples in your relationships corner. You can also place a pair of mandarin ducks or other objects dart of twosomes in the relationship corner.

- To locate the relationship corner of your Feng Shui Bedroom, stand at the main door of the room. Look to the farthest right hand corner, this is your marriage or relationship corner and the one to be enhanced with any adjustments you are making.

- Activate your relationship with pairs of statues, or lovebirds in your relationship corner. You can also place a cozy pair of chairs, a green plant, fresh flowers or a crystal in your relationship corner. If it is alive and you are watering the plant, then you are growing your relationship and making it healthy too.

- Your colour scheme further enhances intimacy and love. The bedroom is best enhanced by rosy shades and colours like warm terracotta, apricot, soft greens that nurture and open the heart to love. Reds are good in moderation as they bring in the passion. Use them in candles and accents, but go lightly here as it can bring in too much chi and cause arguments.

- Are the furnishings warm and inviting in your Feng Shui Bedroom? They should feel safe and intimate and give you a sense of being hugged upon entering and when you are spending time in the room.
