Feng Shui

According to the teachings of Xuan Kong Feng Shui, if you are planning on building a new home or business premise, locating a perfect site is of the utmost importance. Since the site is the foundation, following all the guidelines will be the most logical approach.

There are three types of Qi involved when a building is being constructed:

Heaven Qi - the Time Factor, which is Yang and supported by Water
Earth Qi - The Space Factor, which is Yin and supported by Mountains
Man Qi - The Human Factor, which is a combination of Yin & Yang
Qi also comes towards us from all eight directions, in order to locate the Yin Qi; we use the Earth Chart, which is also known as the Luo Shu Numbers/Magic Square as follows:

For Yin Qi, the Zheng Shen (ruling Qi) is located where the ruling Star is. For Period 8 (February 4, 2004 to February 4, 2024), it is in the northeast. Zheng Shen is also defined as the most vibrant Mountain Dragon. If a mountain is located in the Zheng Shen direction of a house, the people living in the house will be healthy, have good relationships and capable of giving birth to babies.

To locate the Yang Qi at a site, we place the ruling star 8 White in the center, where the 5 Yellow Star is located, which is the other ruling star, and is known as Ling Shen. Ling Shen is also defined as the most vibrant Water Dragon. If a body of water is located in the Ling Shen direction of a house, the people living in the house will have wealth and prosperity.

According to the above guidelines, for building within this Period 8, the site is most auspicious if it has Zheng Shen in the northeast, which is supported by the existence of a natural Mountain, and Ling Shen in the southwest, which is supported by the presence of natural Water, which could be in the form of a lake, ocean or river.
