The year of the cockerel begins on Wednesday February 9th 2005. The cockerel/rooster is also known as the phoenix in Chinese tradition. The phoenix is a universal symbol of transformation, rebirth, eternity and strong energy. Obstacles can be overcome in the year of the rooster. Be practical, use hard work and conscientiousness to get where you wish to be.

2005 is sometimes called a ‘Blue’ Cockerel year, a wood element year. Boldness, ambition, idealism, decision making, competitiveness are all strong factors this year. Relationships are never well starred in a Rooster year, and reconciliation within close intimate partnerships will NOT come easily. Steer clear of disagreements, wait for more harmonious trends in the late Autumn and during 2006.
Beware of nagging, of being fussy and overcritical.

In 2005–image is all important, flaunt, flaunt, and flaunt again! Clothes and jewellery are vitally important and will be significant in many headlines!
